Having difficulty feeling festive right now? The Oceana Democrats are persisting ----

we’re having a party!

Tuesday, December 3 at the Pink Elephant in Hart from 6:30-9:00 p.m. 

Whether you were active in this year's campaign or not – whether you want to persist or not – just come out and join your fellow Dems for some heartening camaraderie and holiday cheer. A limited menu and cash bar will be available, and we will discuss some ideas on how to proceed. No business meeting will be held, but there will be some announcements, and lots of encouraging words from like-minded folks.

Fast approaching is the season for getting together with friends and family, enjoying a warm fire and calorie laden food.  But, there are people in our county who don’t have stable housing, adequate food or dependable means of transportation. Someone may have had a flood or fire that made their home unlivable, another may have a mobility scooter that suddenly broke down.  

Yes, there are agencies that can help but sometimes there are people who have an urgent need that the agency can’t meet, or they don’t quality for that type of assistance.  Here’s where WE can help.

Our Holiday Fundraiser will support the the Oceana County United Way of the Lakeshore  Emergency Needs Fund.  Your generous contributions will go directly to helping our neighbors in need this holiday season.

Well folks, it wasn’t what we were hoping for…it wasn’t what we worked so hard to support. However, take heart that we did participate in the democratic process.

And yes, we are tired…and we are also resilient, committed, determined and ready to roll up our sleeves to defend our democracy - these United States of America.

The Summer 2024 Pizza for the People event was a smashing success!

150+ dems and friends enjoyed a laid-back day which will included delicious wood-fired brick oven pizza, toe-tapping music, and best of all; fellowship with Michigan Dems!

Live music was provided by a local favorite band “The Smokin’ Dobroleles”.

Suggested donation was $20/adult. Donations may still be made in ActBlue by using the link below or checks may be made out to the Oceana County Democratic Party.
