  • Michelle Obama's "DO SOMETHING" Challenge!

We were inspired by Michelle Obama's speech at the Democratic Convention. She urged us to get out and DO SOMETHING! to preserve our precious democracy...you can do this from home! Here's how...call 5-10 friends or relatives and ask them:

    1. Are you registered to vote? You can register at your local clerks office or online at the State of Michigan

    2. Then ask if they are planning to vote...and review the options (these are for Oceana County)

Absentee Ballot: (Absentee Ballots being mailed out around September 27th)   Remember to return in person at Township Office or by US Mail (Mail early)

Early Voting:  Oceana County Courthouse (Dates:  October 26th -  November 3rd  from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

    In-Person Voting:  Your Township Office – November 5th (7:00  AM – 8:00 PM)

    3. Then ask if they have a plan! Discuss the options! Call back in October to see if they have made progress!

We have to mobilize every possible vote this year!

  • Monthly Membership Meeting

The Township Board will be considering the matter again at their meeting on September 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Township Hall, 5527 W. Fox Road in Mears. For more information, check the Golden website,

2024 is a critical year for protecting and standing up for the values we share including reproductive, civil and basic human rights, not to mention our democracy.

The goal of the Repro Ballot Signers Postcard Project 2024 is to send a postcard to everyone that signed the Michigan Reproductive Freedom for All ballot petition in 2022, reminding voters of the critical part that Reproductive Rights plays in this election, both nationally and for the future of Michigan, and to get them out to vote!
