Time to Get Involved!
We have more ways than ever to get involved in the Oceana County Democratic Party! Here are a few…
1. Take a volunteer shift at our headquarters office (address on the “About Us” page)
2. Get out and canvass with other like-minded Dems and friends (see “Upcoming Events” for details)
3. Participate in the Michelle Obama “DO SOMETHING” campaign (see “Upcoming Events” for suggested get out the vote strategy)
4. Send a “letter to the editor” to local media about issues that affect us in Oceana County. We have developed position letters on many areas including the economy, jobs, wealth inequality and more. In order to be published the letters must be signed by an Oceana County resident - they can’t come from the OCDP. Do you want to sign a letter? Call the office or leave a message on our FB page. We would love to work with you to get important issues out in the media!

The most important way you can support our party and our country is to VOTE!

JOIN
Membership in the Michigan Democratic Party (MDP) is open to all U.S. citizens and, although encouraged, does not require membership dues. To be able to vote at state or county Democratic Party meetings, Dems are required to join the MDP. https://michigandems.com/join/ Membership in the State Party automatically gives you voting rights in the County Party.
JOIN the Oceana County Democratic Party! Elections at the county level directly affect elections at the state level. That’s why the Oceana County Democratic Party (OCDP) needs you to join our county party. County party membership also does not require membership dues, but members are encouraged to show their support with a yearly donation of at least $20. Joining the OCDP gives the information needed to keep members aware of events and issues vital to promoting party interests an candidates. The activities of the Oceana County Democratic Party cost money. Even a modest donation will help support our special events, get-out-the-vote efforts, and basic administrative costs (printing/mailing/supplies) or mail a check made out to the Oceana Democratic Party, P.O.
